Taste of Peru will be providing our food for the Northwest Doula Conference this year. We hope you will enjoy:
Breakfast: -Peruvian Superfoods Porridge Bar with quinoa flakes, oats and kiwicha prepared with soymilk, cinnamon sticks and cloves, An assortment of raisins, walnuts, almonds and brown sugar available. -Veggie Scramble with kale, zucchini, tomato and red bell peppers. -Blueberry quinoa muffins
Lunch: -Peruvian style chicken rice soup with a mix of veggies and cilantro garnish -Quinoa mango salad with quinoa, avocado, cherry tomatoes, onions, topped with kiwi, mango and almonds on field greens -Peruvian Rice Bowl Station (build your own) grilled marinated chicken, vegan option sautéed kale, lentil and quinoa mix, brown rice, organic beans, and an array of fresh veggies.
Afternoon Snack: -Rich and decadent homemade chocolate quinoa cake, traditional Lucuma fruit ice cream, toppings include homemade berry sauce, whipped cream and walnuts.
Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors we are usually able to offer 1-2 scholarships to attend this event. The scholarship is open to all applicants who also work with expectant or new families. We encourage you to apply if you would not otherwise be able to attend the conference. All scholarship applications are due by September 1 and applicants will be notified by September 15th.
